Motions

1. The members of Wikimedia Canada move to allow observers to attend the AGM.
   • Motion adopted.
2. The members of Wikimedia Canada move to accept the minutes of the 2016 AGM.
   • An amendment was proposed and the minutes were edited accordingly.
   • Motion as amended adopted.
3. The members of Wikimedia Canada move to accept the 2015 Financial Report.
   • Motion adopted.
4. The members of Wikimedia Canada move to accept the 2016 FInancial Report.
   • Motion adopted.
5. The members of Wikimedia Canada move to accept the new Membership Policy.
   • Motion adopted.
6. The members of Wikimedia Canada move to amend the Articles of Continuance as proposed on the wiki.
   • Motion adopted.
7. The members of Wikimedia Canada move to amend the General Bylaw as proposed on the wiki.
   • Motion adopted.
8. The members of Wikimedia Canada move to fix the number of directors to 11.
   • An amendment was proposed to fix the number to 12.
   • Votes were taken for the fixed number of directors between 8 and 12. 9 received the most votes by a large majority and the motion is amended accordingly.
   • Motion as amended adopted.
9. The members of Wikimedia Canada further move to empower the Board of Directors to determine the number of directors after this general meeting.
   • Motion withdrawn by mover.
10. The members move to have a single-round election for the vacant seats on the board of directors in which every member gets up to 6 votes; the 4 candidates with most votes will be elected to 2-years terms and the next 2 candidates will be elected to 1-year terms.
