Wikimedia Commons

Another great and easy way to start contributing to Wikimedia projects is to contribute to Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia Commons is a collection of freely usable media files, such as photographs, drawings, videos and sound files, to which anyone can contribute. You can upload your own media content as long as you accept to put the files under a free licence and ensure that 'they can have an educational purpose. Note that Wikimedia Commons serves as a common repository for all Wikimedia projects, including Wikipedia. Wikimedia Commons uses the same wiki-technology as Wikipedia and everyone can edit it.
