Membership cards
editIf there is a demand for this, we could use the avery style tear-away business cards. Here is a link to some of the options. Alan.ca 22:17, 4 April 2011 (EDT)
- It should work. Since Jeff will need to work with this, it's a matter of whatever works with his printer. A simple design with the logo, a membership number, a membership statement, and the secretary's signature should be enough. Keeping the membership number list private may provide a mild form of security. They don't need to be serial. Eclecticology 00:01, 5 April 2011 (EDT)
- This is not really a "project" as such. Let's just keep the first design simple: The logo plus the usual basic information. If we do a small print run now we can always improve the design in time for the second run. Eclecticology 03:07, 4 April 2011 (EDT)
- Per Barry we are unable to use the Wikimedia logos at this time. Thus not sure if we should do anything before this approval.--Doc James 01:12, 5 April 2011 (EDT)

- I don't think Jeff has to print them, he just needs to approve of it. If anyone has access to a color laser printer and/or a corporate postage machine, please raise your hand. Alan.ca 12:04, 15 May 2011 (EDT)
- Letting Jeff be in charge of printing these is more a practical matter, since he would be sending them out. If there are other solutions, that's fine too. Mailing things out lets members keep in touch, even for an essentially on-line community. It's a great wake-up call for those whose activities have started to wane. Including a copy of something like Benoit's folder lets them know that things are continuing to happen. Speaking as a stamp collector, real current commemorative postage stamps are more likely to bring attention to a mailing than machine postage that too much resembles junk mail. Pencils
editI propose we get created 1000 pencils. Here they are offered for 0.20$ each so $200. For design I am thinking the Wikipedia Logo as it is best recognized plus www.wikimedia.ca on one side and www.wikipedia.org on the other if that is an option http://pricelessimprinters.com/budgeteer-pencil.aspx http://www.qualitylogoproducts.com/pencil-personalized.htm --Doc James 01:51, 10 May 2011 (EDT)
- Remember that shipping and sales taxes are part of the costs. Since you are importing these from the US I don't know whether ay duties are chargeable. Eclecticology 07:22, 10 May 2011 (EDT)
- Yes will look into that.--Doc James 10:47, 10 May 2011 (EDT)
