Wiki Loves Monuments is an international photographic competition to valorize the historic sites and monuments of the world, via Wikimedia projects (mostly Wikipedia et Wikimedia Commons). It exists in all countries many historical monuments. The project Wiki Loves Monuments is to encourage everyone to take photographs of these monuments and place them under a free license to allow the greatest number of access via the Internet. In this context, an international competition will take place throughout the month of September 2012. Wikimedia Canada, Association for the free sharing of knowledge, supports the project Wiki Loves Monuments.
